This episode is the culmination of a running joke about the MtG card Bump in the Night from original Innistrad. Graham decided it would be a good idea for LRR to have a card that represented it, that fans could give them at conventions. They chose Bump in the Night because it was cheap and because Graham and Paul had had some interesting interactions with it. (This may or may not be related to the LRR weekly sketch Bump in the Night.) The result was LRR fans donating over a thousand copies of Bump in the Night and driving up the price of the card.
