The son of two professional musicians, Bradley has been playing instruments since the age of 6, and can fluently play electric bass, drums, guitar, piano, saxophone, harmonica, and double bass. He sings, and also plays various world instruments including the djembe, cajon, and duduk. He has scored several independent films, as well as several works for the theatre. He holds a degree in Commercial Music with a minor in English.

Jacob Rains, Bradley's younger brother and only sibling, acts as producer on all Bradley's recordings. He primarily plays the French horn, but is fluent in most all brass instruments.

Also while in college, he played saxophone and organ with a band known as Virgin Wool.
