Synopsis

On the phone with his mother, Graham gives a basic plot synopsis of the previous four episodes, as well as slyly working in a plug for the Season 4 DVD. Graham is suddenly inspired by Saints Row 2, and the following credit sequence includes the cast rendered in the game's character creator. The episode really begins with Graham, Paul and James setting up the moonbase and James showing off a variety of iPhone applications. Bill is shown singing along to Tupac, and he and Morgan have a conversation that ranges in topic from gangsters to foods that are white, kung-fu movies and hollandaise sauce. Meanwhile, Jer enlists Dale and Ryan to turn Bill and Morgan's house into a dungeon as a means of revenge. Graham arrives home to find Matt putting all of his Optimus Primes back on the bookcase. It is revealed that Kathleen merely stole his display copies - he keeps his doubles in a storage unit that doubles as a toy store. Matt is still awash in "barely contained nerd rage", however, and Graham accidentally lets slip that Kathleen is in town. Matt threatens her exact whereabouts out of Graham with a loaded NES Zapper, and arrives at the LRR office to confront her.

However, before they can come to blows, James finds out that Paul modified his camera's flash. He rushes to make sure it still works, and accidentally blinds Jer in the process. Morgan and Bill burst in, demanding to know why Jer built a vinegar pit ("I couldn't afford acid") and a gelatinous cube in their house. Kathleen is mad that Jer didn't use her plan, waking up Morgan at ungodly hours, but Jer explains that Morgan is a VERY sound sleeper. Everyone soon begins yelling at each other, and Graham comes in to quiet everyone down and calls for an emergency meeting. After explaining that he had to run all the way to the office because when he rides in Matt's car they look like a gay couple, Graham reminds everyone of the lessons they've learned from video games. His most recent lesson, he explains, is that of having each other's back. He announces that they are going to form a street gang, and everyone soon agrees to become "The Runners".

Meanwhile, Geoff Howe complains to Tim Sevenhuysen about how unsophisticated LRR's humour is, and how Graham and Paul rejected his script, an homage to Ulysses, in favor of kicks to the balls. Suddenly, Geoff gets an idea, and logs onto Youtube with sinister glee. Across town, The Runners suit up and walk the streets. Graham states that the city can't step to them, and Paul asks what they will do if a rival street gang does, in fact, step to them. Graham answers, saying "Then we'll run. It's what we do." A gunshot is heard, and everyone runs away.

Trivia

  • This video marks the launch of the official fansite wwww.loadingreadyrunners.com.
  • The Saints Row 2 opening has the cast wearing close facsimiles of the crew's actual Runner outfits they wear at the end.
  • This is the first CommodoreHUSTLE to unite all eight main cast members in one room, and the first to have them all in a single shot.
  • James' iPhone switches from his right hand to his left when demonstrating the Steve Jobs application.
  • When James is trying out his camera, it appears that Gibb is resting on the shelf behind him to the right.
  • To the left of the door inside the office is the "Line Dancing - This Way" sign from Episode 3.
  • Tim appears to have the script in his hand, another in the long LRR tradition of the script being in shot.
  • James can be seen carrying the tripod just before the LoadingReadyRunners names appear.
  • When Paul appears in the LoadingReadyRunners intro, he is reciting "This is Why I'm Paul" from RapStar 64K.
  • The man at the toy shop is uncredited because he requested not to be. In later episodes, he is credited as "B".
  • Graham's comment about why he doesn't go to the hospital with Morgan anymore is a reference to an actual incident in which Morgan and Graham were mistaken for a couple at the hospital after Morgan sustained a head injury.
  • The group references Dale's "40 points of acid damage" in the first episode of Dice Friends. Dale stated, "When was that, 2008?" (This episode premiered in 2009.)
