Synopsis
Right after Tim becomes an official LoadingReadyRun crew member he realizes what terrible people the rest of the crew are. Just after Tim decides to leave LoadingReadyRun, Alex rises from the floor as his replacement. Thanks to some free decks at PAX the crew has gotten into Magic: The Gathering. Alex's use of his card trick skills to destroy everyone encourages the other members of the crew to break the spending limits on Magic card put in place to keep everyone even. Alex is eventually revealed as a cheat when he is destroyed by Kathleen's angry kitties deck.
Trivia
- The crew really did get (back) into Magic thanks to the free decks in the PAX swag bags.
- Both the "there's magic everywhere in this bitch" and "magnets/ how do they work?" lines are call-backs to Scientist's Rebuttal to ICP as well as digs at the Insane Clown Posse video "Miracles".
- This video marks Tim's departure from the LRR crew and Alex stepping up as his replacement in the commodoreHUSTLE universe. In reality this happened back during the filming of The Basement, which acted as both Tim's last video as an official crew member as well as Alex's first.
- Kathleen auctioned off her angry kitties deck during Desert Bus for Hope 4.
- The video was seen by Wizards of the Coast, beginning their relationship with LRR, leading directly to WotC producing Friday Nights.
- A very similar set of circumstances occurred later with Pocket Planes.
- This is one of Cameron's favorite sketches
