Who's more upset? All the innocent characters burnt to dead inside a giant tree or one orcy boy?
- The World (of Warcraft) is in utter turmoil, both in and among the playerbase, because of the turmoil what's in the game. TL;DR: The Horde, who aren't really the bad guys but have a some bad guys, and the Alliance, who aren't really the good guys but have some good guys, are fighting again in the lead up to the new expansion. In a story cinematic Blizzard released last week, Sylvanas, the leader of the Horde, did a little bit of an enormous war crime. Which has not gone over well with the players, who have levelled criticism of lazy storytelling and bad, out of character writing at Blizzard.
- A modder by the name of theelfriede has done something fun with Dark Souls: removed all the dark. The modder turned up the brightness, tinkered with some of the RGB values and most importantly, removed the draw para folder, which is where the game keeps its lighting information.
- Fortnite is not getting approved by the Google Play App Store. As Epic Games announced their plans to the Android mobile version of Fortnite directly, which is a thing you can do but nobody does because the Google Store important for distribution and discovery. However when your game is a globally pervasive as Fortnite, you can be confident that the players will come to you. Which is great for Epic because for a game, as reminder has already grossed over $1 billion, giving 30% of your revenue to Google doesn't seem like a great prospect.
- A city planner in the United Kingdom has been slammed for using a screencap from Cities Skylines in their project documents, for a new planned city in Norfolk.
Overwatch has been Nerfed again! Hasbro and Blizzard are collaborating on a new line of Nerf guns that are inspired by Overwatch, including D'Vas light gun and Reapers Hellfire shotgun. No word yet from Hasbro on if the line will include the most popular and well known weapon in the Overwatch community, calling someone a worthless Hanzo main.
