Synopsis

Graham has the idea to add a laugh track to LoadingReadyRun videos, positing that sitcom-syle delivery will make them more successful. He and Paul install a physical laugh track machine (actually the Function Generator) in the moonbase so the crew can practice performing with it.

Meanwhile, James and Kathleen are cleaning organizing the streaming office. When Kathleen suggests that they need some "zip-ties" for the various cables, it is discovered that no member of the crew uses the same term for the objects to which she is referring - James calls them "zap-straps", Beej calls them "zop-strops", and Alex calls them "cable ties". When Graham sends Beej and Alex to go and purchase some, the receipt shows that they are actually called "zippity whiz-bangs".

Stinger

Graham and Paul are shown having a sitcom-like dialogue exchange, and then abruptly dropping character and discussing the performance. In the moment, Graham improvs a troubling line about Paul's mother.

Trivia

  • Production error: In the shot where Graham is ordering James to start cleaning the office, a window in the background shows that it is dusk outside, even though the episode takes place during the daytime.
  • In the final shot before the credits, a mock-up for Cameron as a Magic card can be seen on the whiteboard. He is a 0/3 Human Legend for 1UR with Flash and "Whenever Cameron attacks or blocks, discard a card. Cameron gets +X/+0 until end of turn where X is that card's converted mana cost. Draw a card." Its flavor text reads, "No, it's not a 'may'."
