Synopsis
Jer has finally acquired a Time Walk for his "Take an extra turn"-themed deck. On his way to play with Alex, he goes through the following sequence of events:
- He first stops by Graham's place, where Graham is drafting Magic Online. Graham is in mono-black but is debating taking white. When Jer begins to leave, Graham suggests that he help sort his cards, an offer which Jer refuses.
- He then goes to the Moonbase, where he finds Kathleen sleeving a cube for her Lady Planeswalkers Society. While assisting her, she tells him that she has been drafting nothing but Blue for a long while, and though she is winning consistently, it worries her. Jer advises her to not worry about it.
- On his way out, Jer runs into Graham, whose decision to go into white cost him the draft.
- While the two are playing, Alex accuses Jer's deck of not being fun to play with. Next turn, Jer casts Time Walk.
Unfortunately, casting Time Walk causes Jer to suddenly wake up in his bed at the beginning of that day, having rewound back to the morning. After going through the day several times in the vein of Groundhog Day, Jer exiles Time Walk with a Misdirection rather than casting it in order to prevent restarting the day. After the game, Jer offers to trade Alex for the Time Walk.
In the stinger, Alex' day restarts after he casts the Time Walk, but he appears not to notice, throwing his alarm clock to stop it ringing and going back to sleep.
