Synopsis
The video is styled like the opening titles to an old sitcom, complete with low-resolution graphics and an easy-listening theme song. All of the on-site Desert Bus volunteers are introduced (those who had to leave before shooting began are thanked in the credits), as well as some of the notable "characters", such as Creepy Doll, Leonard the Octopus, and the Skulls.
The video also contains callbacks to the viral video Too Many Cooks, which took off just before Desert Bus began. These include the font used for the title cards and a sequence wherein a malevolent character stalks the others in the background of their respective scenes.
Trivia
- This video continues the tradition of a post-Desert Bus musical update. Previous songs include:
- Desert Bus 2: Desert Bus Killed the Internet Star
- Desert Bus 3: Tuscon or Bust
- Desert Bus 5: The Tale of Matt Wiggins
- Desert Bus 6: Desert Power
- Desert Bus 7: The Desert Bus Rap
- Kara, who served as communication coordinator and as a driver, was unintentionally left off the listing of crew and volunteers not appearing in the video at the end of the video.
