AskLRR Answers

Q: I'm trying to start up my own video website (which is spelled incorrectly). Do you have any good advice? Keep in mind, I don't know what the hell I'm doing.

A:

Matt says to give up, because he does not want competition. Learn to copy-edit anything
you put up on the Internet, and find out what the hell you're doing. In fact, when LRR
started they didn't know what the hell they were doing (Morgan still thinks they don't).
You should "do it often", like set up a schedule, and keep the schedule unchanged so
people remember to come back. And do something you love.

Q: Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur of what is known as...?

A:

  Park Life.

Q: And morning soup can be avoided if you take a route straight through what is known as...?

A:

  Park Life.

Q: Carbonated Beverage - Soda/Pop?

A:

Pop. Pop is Canadian, soda is American.

Q: Sandwich on a long roll - Torpedo, Submarine, Hoagie, Grinder, etc?

A:

  Submarine (more commonly, sub).

Q: Any other Canadian dialectical changes from Standard American English?

A:

We spell things "the right way" according to Matt, a double-double in Canada is not a
double cheeseburger, it is a coffee with two cream and two sugar. A Timbit is a donut
hole (due to the immensely popular Canadian chain Tim Hortons).

Q: Do you eat hot wings?

A:

  Yes.

Q: If so, what is the best place for wings in Victoria/Vancouver?

A:

1550's in Victoria (Red's is okay).

Q: Spiciest flavor you have eaten?

A:

James enjoys the five alarm at 1550's, Morgan has never had hot wings that are hot
enough in his entire life (unless he gets them from his house).

Q: Who would you vote for as best dressed?

A:

Matt says Morgan. Everyone else says he really just spends the most time and money.

Q: Who would you vote for as biggest flirt (not by sheer size)?

A:

  Morgan.

Q: Most likely to succeed?

A:

  Everyone's very likely to succeed.

Q: Cutest couple?

A:

  James and Matt.

Q: Most likely to beat up a 3rd grader for milk money?

A:

Bill, although Paul has been beaten up as a 3rd grader.

Q: Least likely to move out of Canada?

A:

Matt's okay with going to the States, although he would have to move out of his parents'
basement. Graham and James are big fans of Canada. But to answer everyone's question,
  Allen.

Q: Did you guys expect How to talk like a Pirate to do as well as it did and is still doing when you made it? Or did you expect it to be like any other of your vids?

A:

It was a pretty good surprise, but they had to use 100% resources on their server, and
they share hosting, so all of the other sites on their server went dead, and the host
company shut them down. They had to talk with the company and get transferred to a better
  server.

Q: And a question for Matt, how did you feel back when Metroid went from 2D to 3D with Prime?

A:

Matt thinks that Prime is the best possible realization for Super Metroid in 3D, but they
didn't make it easy to break. Although, a lot of speedruns show sequence breaking. Matt
says that if you were good at Super Metroid, you could get places early in the game,
which is much harder to do in Prime. Like how with a combined ice missile and wall jump,
you can get pretty much anywhere in the game. Jer would like to note that he, Morgan, and
Bill had all beaten Super Metroid ridiculously before Matt had even played it.

Q: Lavos asks, is that Graham stuttering in the podcast? Because it Graham sometimes pauses and sounds like he's burping or something.

A:

Yes, Graham has a speech impediment, because when it comes across in videos, they
reshoot. It happens when he is in a rush, or nervous, or excited, or put on the spot,
especially when meeting new people, and he tries to breathe in while talking. It's not
really stuttering, but he did used to also stutter.

Q: What is the strangest dream you have had? I ask this because last night I dreamed that my dad killed Matt?

A:

Morgan has really weird dreams. Graham has a few weird dreams. When Matt was three, Huey,
Dewey, and Louie (the three Disney characters), were all walking across his bed and
taking a crap right in the middle.

Q: Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan? Which movie does it for you?

A:

Most people say Bruce Lee for action, Chan for comedy.
Morgan, Matt, James, and Jer say Enter the Dragon for Lee, Legend of Drunken Master for
Chan. Graham says Enter the Dragon for Lee, City Hunter for Chan. Ben says Dragon: The
Bruce Lee Story which actually starred Jason Scott Lee. Paul says Enter the Dragon for
  Lee, and Gorgeous for Chan.
They also talk about how Rush Hour 3 is the worst movie in the series.

Q: In reference to Tak's question, what "senior superlatives" were the cast actually voted?

A:

Jer had "Most Likely to become Prime Minister". Bill, because of Graham's friends in the
journalism class, had "Most Likely to be Hit by a Low-flying Plane". Graham had "Most
Likely to Star in a British Sitcom". James thinks his was "Most Likely to have a Dollar
Bill Sticking out of his G-string". Paul didn't have one. But his grad piece he wrote in
the yearbook saying that he thanks everyone who helped him, but those who didn't have
their names in a little book, and when he's rich and famous he'll remember not to like
them, but he's looking forward to seeing everyone else at the reunion.
