Early in 2003 two guys named Graham and Paul figured making a website where they could show off some of their videos would be a good idea. Several months later, when they remembered the idea, they started work on it. After a couple design concepts, they settled on LoadingReadyRun, inspired in name and appearance by the Commodore 64 home computer system from the '80s. See, they're also big geeks. More than just showing off their few previous works, Graham and Paul decided to make new videos. Lots of new videos. Like, one every week. As well as being big geeks, they also make very poor and ambitious decisions.

More than eight years later Graham and Paul with their friends make four weekly series: CheckPoint for Penny Arcade Television, Unskippable and Feed Dump for The Escapist, and the weekly LoadingReadyRun video which is distributed by The Escapist. In addition LoadingReadyRun produces videocasts known as LRRcasts, behind the scenes and bonus content, Graham & Paul Let's Play, and a monthly series for Wizards of the Coast called Friday Nights. Each year LoadingReadingRun runs Desert Bus for Hope, a fundraiser for Child's Play which is the oldest and most successful video game marathon. Previously LoadingReadyRun also produced The Whatever Thing, the Iron Stomach Challenge, Escapist News Network, Phailhaüs, Daily Drop and Strip Search.

Daniel Davis was a LoadingReadyRun fan from Jacksonville, Alabama who came to visit Desert Bus for Hope 5 in 2011 as his Make-A-Wish Foundation wish. Davis' time at the Moonbase was spent volunteering and spending time on-camera, seeing his time at Desert Bus as a chance to give back to the community. He stayed in contact with the crew through Facebook, and called in during Desert Bus for Hope 6. In his spare time, he studied music and composed chiptunes under the name Redflag. Daniel Davis passed away October 13, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
